The problem is exacerbated if the guitar is kept in a case for years, with little ventilation, left on a stand they last a little longer. But eventually, they ALL succumb to this pickguard cancer, it's only a matter of time. And once the pickguard starts to undergo this chemical reaction, the only solution is to remove it immediately and make a new copy of it. If left unchecked, the gases will corrode the pickups and wiring too, and you'll need to replace everything. This is just a fact every Musima Owner needs to know.
