The reason for the lack of armrest is when I play particularly I feel my right elbow is unnaturally forced forward twisting my shoulder which then gives me shoulder ache. There is still an amount of body for the forearm to rest on and you elbow and shoulder is at a more natural angle. initially it was a design to allieviate this problem for myself but I'm sure I'm not the only one who suffers this. I'm not sure which cutaway you mean. All I can say is the guitar balances really well for me and I'm an average build. I guess the proof is in the playing. Either way I have tried to make it look different I probably agree with you about the pick guard It inbalances it a little but then I have the freedom to make the next one completely different again. I wish I had the funds to send out demo models but unfortunately I haven't. I pretty much have to sell as I build. p.s I am watching your guitar build with interest :-)
Arzeur I actually think the breadwinner is pretty ugly although maybe practical and ergonomic I have to admit I have never played one. . Ber...Hi It is one of mine. Thanks for featuring it.
Bertram what parts do you feel are not ergonomic and akward?
Tony The first one I made as a completed guitar had rounder edges but I felt the definition was lost a little by softening it. The "production" models (if you can call anything I do production) will be a bit narrower and will have a slight bevel on the top edge. They will also have a much nicer headstock which compliments the body shape. I hope Guitarz will feature it when it's finished.
www.shonkymusicalinstruments.co.ukAntonyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07074911783665849229noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3734566.post-36382212181264842782014-06-09T21:42:01.089+01:002014-06-09T21:42:01.089+01:00Looks brilliant to me!Looks brilliant to me!Howardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07556727166267551805noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3734566.post-22182739885921939942014-06-09T20:35:41.009+01:002014-06-09T20:35:41.009+01:00I agree with you to the fact that the top of the b...I agree with you to the fact that the top of the body could be more rounded but maybe it would loose its "Chonky" feel.
