I replaced the stock pickups with "Texas Specials." It looks like the guitar that Jimi played at Woodstock, and it's not for sale, it's my #1 guitar. It screams. I've already had it refretted once, and looks like I will need to replace the frets again in the not too distant future.Righteohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13020237992165027147noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3734566.post-628608083810319012014-01-30T21:58:23.732+00:002014-01-30T21:58:23.732+00:00Technically,as Gavin said ,the only interest is th...Technically,as Gavin said ,the only interest is the "reverse" slanted bridge pickup just to give more "beefee" sound to the 3 treble strings and precision to the 3 bass strings. Reverse headstock is just a matter of fashion that comes and goes that's to say nothing serious.A little bit "pricey" for such an instrument even if it's in mint condition and plays well.arzeurhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14428718090034832154noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3734566.post-48316081220686607962014-01-28T10:00:16.916+00:002014-01-28T10:00:16.916+00:00Yes, I was trying to remember if he played one of ...Yes, I was trying to remember if he played one of these. I seem to recall him having a Strat with a reverse headstock, and didn't it feauture the Japanese flag on it somewhere too?Gavin Lloyd Wilsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10937598384359522498noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3734566.post-87797226105284433732014-01-27T22:40:25.912+00:002014-01-27T22:40:25.912+00:00I remember ads for this in the US guitar mags in 1...I remember ads for this in the US guitar mags in 1985.
