1983 Ibanez Roadstar II

A few days ago I was telling about all the guitars I usually overlook because they don't immediately respond to my taste, and this was one of those, until I saw it in this simple black finish (sunburst and flamed maple often blind me!) When you really look at it, this Ibanez  Roadstar II appears to be an hybrid between a Fender Stratoscaster and a Rickenbacker 620, specially with the white binding...

So to me it is a serious upgrade to the basic strat design, and I also like the old school bridge humbucker / neck single coil combination (that's standard on Duesenberg guitars) and the big trem bridge. And it confirms what I always thought: if you really look for it, you will find cool stuff at Ibanez!
