Here's another mystery semi-hollowbody electric guitar for you to identify

guitarz.blogspot.com:
Here's a guitar that Guitarz reader R. C. Kelleher had back in the 1960s, but has no idea what it is. At a guess, and because of the slight Mosrite influence, I'd say that it looks Japanese in origin. It's the kind of guitar you'd expect to see the Kimberly brandname on, so I speculate it may have been made by Teisco.

But if you know better, please let us know!

  1. How come this guitar is not a standard?

  2. R.C, hard to say what's more rockin'. The guitar or that tube powered TV in the background? Notice how different the fret markers are. The example above as, minimalist as it gets! Also hard to tell if the first has a trem at all. Obscured.

  3. It looks like a Maestro or Teisco/Greco jap in origin

I had a guitar that looked almost exactly like that, except for the color. It was branded Ceo, a store brand from a Wheeling, WV music store.
