Fender Japan Aerodyne Jazz Bass rare left-handed version

guitarz.blogspot.com:
Fender's Aerodyne series of guitars and basses were another - rather elegant - variation on a theme courtesy of the ever resourceful minds at Fender Japan, with bodies that feature a gently arched top and binding. This particular Fender Aerodyne Jazz Bass is a rare left-handed example. Note that the bass features both Precision and Jazz Bass pickups.

Currently listed on eBay with a Buy It Now price of $999.99.

  1. Why do I want to become left handed all of a sudden? The workmanship on these examples is stellar. The calibre of binding you'd expect from pricey, case queen lines. More and more I'm becoming a fan of painted headstocks. It brings, not only continuity to the design, but another line of defense against dings, chips and yellow aged disappointment. With proper care, there's no reason it shouldn't look as crisp as the day it left the factory.

Even without hearing, it's not difficult to imagine this comfortably crossing multiple genres. A bar player's work horse ( and No, you can NOT 'borrow' it! )

    1. You don't have to be a lefty to enjoy the Aerodyne bass. They're not rare at all in Japan. Using Ishibashi's English page, you can tweak the url to use it as a search (change the part after "key=") there are apparently a few different versions. Take a look here: http://www.ishibashi.co.jp/u_box/e/eubox.php?word=2&key=ajb&equal1=&value5=&select5=down&sort=&print=40&T=gazo

(p.s. I have no affiliation with Ishibashi, I just appreciate they have an English website here in Japan)
