Can anyone help identify this mystery semi-hollowbody guitar?

A friend of mine came up with this great looking, but un-branded hollowbody guitar. He got it from the original owner who bought it in 1962. The tailpiece is not original because it was missing when my friend got the guitar. It has some weird active technology in it, powered by a 9 volt battery. When you push the square white button, it activates a little circuit wich gives you a more trebly sound, controlled by the knob next to it. There are no markings, logo's or serial numbers anywhere on this guitar. We've been to a few luthiers but no-one knows what brand it is... So maybe the Guitarz-crowd can help us out!

EDIT (8 Sept 2014): Arjen Matthys Ehlers tells us via Facebook that "It's a German GIMA, occasionally they pop up in the Netherlands, most of the times in Zebrano wood, but very recognisable by bodyform, pu, controls and push button."

Here's another mystery semi-hollowbody electric guitar for you to identify

Here's a guitar that Guitarz reader R. C. Kelleher had back in the 1960s, but has no idea what it is. At a guess, and because of the slight Mosrite influence, I'd say that it looks Japanese in origin. It's the kind of guitar you'd expect to see the Kimberly brandname on, so I speculate it may have been made by Teisco.

But if you know better, please let us know!

Can you identify the mystery doubleneck guitar / (very) short-scale bass?

Guitarz reader Jeff brought this mystery doubleneck to my attention. It's currently being offered for sale on eBay with a Buy It Now price of $649, although the seller is completely in the dark as to what this guitar/bass combo actually is. Apparently the pickups are made by Framus so it would be a perfectly reasonable piece of guesswork that the whole guitar might be made by Framus, but the seller claims to have checked with Framus who have responded that it's not one of theirs. Jeff suggested to me that it has the looks of a Carvin to it, and I reckon he might be onto something there.

Can any of you guys identify it more conclusively?

Symphony with strange rail pickups - can't tell more

Can't tell anything about this guitar, where it's from, when it was made, I can only acknowledge its flashy sparkle perloid finish and above all its very special pickups - something I've never seen before and that should make it identifiable at first sight -, thick dual rails coming right out of the body. It's branded Symphony and the bridge has a slight German feel to me but I wouldn't dare telling more...

Anybody has a cue?
