refinished probable Teisco

When one doesn't know the brand of a vintage guitar, they call it Kay if it's from the US, Teisco if it looks Japanese and Eko if it feels Italian.

This one is a Teisco.

  1. Judging by the pickups and scratchplate I'm pretty sure that's a Kay ET-200 Made in Taiwan.

  4. "Audition by Kawai (ca.1960s)" seems several design with this guitar "1970s Teisco / Audition", although the body shape, pickups, and pickguard look different.

(As you know, Kawai acquired Teisco in Dec. 1966)
