Budweiser collector sells his guitars

guitarz.blogspot.com:

It seems that the "King of Beers" is no longer king with this collector who, along with some other Bud paraphernalia, is selling these 4 guitars.

As a fan of more "stouty" beverages I'd likely not be seen on stage with one of these but if I was feeling ironic I'd go all out and grab the Dean logo shape.

Pizza Hut guitar!

guitarz.blogspot.com:
Other than to say that the base colour for the back and sides of the body would have been better if it was more "doughy" or at least yellow, is there really anything I need to say about this promotional Pizza Hut guitar?

Currently listed on eBay with a Buy It Now price of $249. What a shame there isn't a vegetarian option.

Mickey Mouse electric guitar

guitarz.blogspot.com:
The fact that this Mickey Mouse guitar is a novelty instrument and that it features hardware identical to some other novelty guitars we've looked at recently (namely the M&Ms and iPod guitars) makes me think they may have been produced by the same manufacturer. It's a pity that the hardware couldn't have been disguised or somehow painted to match the design of Mickey's face. As it is, he looks like he's got some very bizarre facial piercings. As to whether this is officially licensed Disney product or effectively a bootleg guitar, I could not tell you.

Currently listed on eBay with a Buy It Now price of $399.99.

And don't forget to check out the original Mickey Mouse Club Mousegetar!

Novelty iPod guitar promotional item

guitarz.blogspot.com:
OK, it's an iPod promotional guitar, what more is there to say? (Other than you'd feel a right prawn playing one of these). But It Now on eBay for $499.99 - listing ends later today.

Warning: May contain nuts! A colourful M&Ms promotional guitar

guitarz.blogspot.com:
This makes a change from all those promotional guitars for various brands of weak beer. It's an M&Ms guitar featuring a graphic of the chocolate and sugar-coated peanut characters from the M&M advertisements. It's quite a basic guitar with just one pickup and volume and tone controls, but the shape is actually quite pleasing to the eye, and I could well imagine this being used in some young punk band.

I'm not sure if these guitars were promotional give-aways or competition prizes, or if you actually had to buy them along with X amount of chocolate peanut wrappers, but for a very basic Chinese-made guitar I can't help thinking that the requested Buy It Now price of $499 is a little steep. But then again, maybe M&Ms merchandise is collectable,

Hamer Miller beer promotional guitar

guitarz.blogspot.com:

This USA-made Miller beer promotional guitar by Hamer with a quilted maple top has quite an attractive shape - obviously derived from the Miller logo - but I wonder if there would be any way of removing the lettering?...

Embarrassing Dean Budweiser Guitar

guitarz.blogspot.com:

Can you imagine the shame of having to play this thing made by Dean Guitars?

Not only does it look absolutely awful, but I'd be so embarrassed that people might think I'd advocate drinking such an appalling and tasteless brand of "beer".
