1960s/70s Japanese "Idol" guitar

guitarz.blogspot.com:
In these days of hysteria-laden karaoke-style TV talent contests, "Idol" is a bit of a dirty word. However, here is one Idol that shouldn't have been strangled at birth. It's a Japanese-made electric guitar with an exaggerated wide body shape, and whilst I'm not suggesting for one moment that it's a surefire great player, I think we have to admire it for its coolness factor. It'd look great in a video if nothing else!

Currently being auctioned on eBay with a negligibly low starting price. I wonder what it'll fetch?
[Edit: it eventually sold for US $115].

  1. I still admire the 60s/70s Japanise idol guitar though it is old. My admiration is related to its great role during the period mentioned here. The shape and view look great ! It is fact that now we have super quality of guitar considering accurate effect with sound combination. At present we are enjoying multi-effect pedals, filter, modulation, booster, reverb and so on. This old mode of guitar once was a great source of fantastic entertainment to many music lovers. Thanks for content.
