We've already shown a very similar PerlGold archtop guitar a couple of years ago (here) but I don't know if the differences of finish, knobs, headstock and pickguard are just cosmetic or indicate different models. My feeling is that is a later PerlGold model, from the 1970s - the only documentation I found is from the 1950s and show mostly acoustic guitars - flattop and archtop -, also lutes and harp guitars;  here we are closer to Musima's style with its 3 pickups and tremolo...

1960s German-made Perlgold Musima/Migma bass in stunning pearloid

This 1960s Perlgold bass is quite obviously from the same stable as Germany's Musima and Migma guitars - the shape and those pickups are quite distinctive. And isn't it great to see three pickups on a bass? Remember this instrument is from the era when four pickups on a guitar was commonplace. I don't really have a lot to say about this beauty of a bass, other than to urge you to enjoy the photos!

This item is located in Hungary and is currently being auctioned on eBay with a starting price of $209.

Vintage PerlGold Jazz Guitar

Here is a nice Pergold semi-hollow body guitar, with 3 single coil pickups, the typically East-german tail in its long-harm trem version, a strange perloid pickguard and 4 knobs following the external curve of the body. You will notice something I've seen on several of these guitars, the lower part [I think you mean "higher" - GLW] of the fingerboard is unfretted, where it is anyway inaccessible...

Pergold was a high-end guitar brand from DDR - for what I understood, information about it is scarce...
