Let me begin this post by saying that I really am not trying to offend anyone here. Although I'm not a religious person I would never mock another's faith. However, I found myself totally flabbergasted when I saw this Fender Custom Shop Telecaster complete with crucifixion artwork. I can't imagine that even the most devout Christian would consider that an appropriate scene with which to decorate the front of a guitar. But maybe, I'm wrong. Still, it's little wonder really that the seller describes this guitar as being "in immaculate condition and has not been played."

Lord Basso Custom Bass

This hand-crafted hand-painted Dot on Shaft Lord Basso bass guitar with its stained-glass window graphics is one of those love it or loathe finishes.

Speaking for myself I'm with the "loathe it" brigade.

I can't help wondering how distracting that painted fretboard would be.

A hand-carved nightmare!

It may be beautifully carved, and the inlay work may well be exquisite; it could be that it's a beautiful player and sounds absolutely fantastic, but for me this guitar checks all the tickboxes on what makes for a Certified Hideous Guitar. Never mind that it was "an award winning guitar at the 2008 Smoky Mountain Jubilee in Gatlinburg, TN" (award winning in what category, I have to ask?), it's absolutely ghastly.
