Galveston B.B. Stone: ERiC AiXeLsyD's "square guitar"

We've looked at the Galveston brand on this blog before, but alas have never really found out very much about it.

This "square guitar", almost like a Bo Diddley rectangular guitar with cutaways, is called the Galveston B.B. Stone and is owned and played by Guitarz reader Eric.

He tells us that:

B.B. Stone is apparently a Korean blues artist and guitar-builder, and he designed the guitar with Jerker Antoni of Sweden’s Eagle Instruments.  There are 24 pieces worldwide, the ones around the world are branded with the groovy Eagle headstock.

Galveston Lucifer

This is the Galveston Lucifer. 

Can't tell much more about it since there are no information on Galveston on the Internet! I just found that's it's the US front brand of a Korean company, and they have an Internet address that leads to no site! 

Though this kind of guitars is not my cup of tea, I think that its design is quite nice. It's well balanced, dynamic, not ridiculous and ergonomic, with an updated 80s Peavey taste - much better than most BC Rich monsters. Do we face a glam-metal come-back?

Acrylic body telecaster

I like series, so here comes another Telecaster, not a Fender though (what I like with the Telacaster, is that like the moka pot or the skate board, it's a constructivist mix of design and technology, so obvious now that it belongs to everybody...), but a made-in-China cheapo (this is not meant to be derogatory, you know my feeling about this...)

Can't tell about the quality of its making or its sound, but this acrylic body tele by Galveston is really good looking, that's a gift I would make to a beginner guitarist!
